Based on an interdisciplinary perspective, it regards the image of Wenzhou as a discursive construct that exists in the perception and evaluation of Wenzhou in Western media communication. Two corpuses, named Factiva and Lexisnexis, are used to describe the image of Wenzhou constructed by the Western media since the 1980s. It finally points out the problems of Wenzhou"s image in Western media, and proposes some countermeasures.
