In the face of the negative influence of online rumors, administrative regulation should make use of itsflexibility and speed to prevent rumors, manage rumors, and punish rumors. Although the existing legal regulations havecertain regulatory measures for online rumors, effective measures should be taken in a timely manner to clarify, confirm,integrate and improve the content contradictions, abstract standards, confusion of powers and application difficulties inthe real-name registration system, so as to prevent the generation of online rumors, deter the spread of online rumors,and sanction the infringement of online rumors, for better exering the defensive, resisting and punishing effect, in orderto fully protecting the people’s rights, the stability of social order, and the harmony and stability of the country.
